Hadrib City

Hadrib city is by far the most technologically advanced city in the region, and it sprawls like no other. The city is split into three, each of which could be a city in its own right. The First District is making huge advances in Pokémon behavior and biology, the Second District is creating machines of all types, and the Third District is perfecting some kind of holographic device as well as various robots.

Government

Officially, the scientists are in charge of all three districts. In reality, the security corps led by the Gym Leader is in control of pretty much everything. Leader Ajax decides disputes and manages the rotation of the districts, while also judging who is allowed into the city.

Defences

The city is protected by a massive forcefield, as well as metal walls with ID scanners. The security team is led by the Gym Leader, and security robots patrol the city as well. The security robots are floating cubes with LED faces and also tasers.

Infrastructure

Hadrib City has three districts that might as well be their own cities. The districts are arranged in a triangle formation, but the scientists of two districts are always unhappy with the arrangement. This is because all of them want access to the city's treasure, a meteor from long ago that sent many of them onto the path of science just to research it.
To facilitate access to the meteor, which cannot be moved itself, the city is built on a complicated system of conveyors and floating platforms that allow the districts to be swapped out for each other.

Districts

The First District of the city is dedicated to Pokémon research. Here, scientists run behavioral experiments and perform genetic modifications. The science done here sometimes results in horrific abominations (not frequently), angry regular Pokémon rampaging (more common, but still not frequent), and genetically modified Pokémon pranking people (very common). When not on duty, the Gym Leader can be found here training himself and his team against the biggest threat the boys in the lab can come up with. The Second District of the city is fixated on improving mechanics. They have developed forcefields and the system that moves the city. Deep in the bowels of the district is an immense bank of computers that are never used for anything. The scientists here have also created funny automatic trashcans. Most of the "high-tech" things in the city were made by the Second District. The Gym Leader almost never comes by, since he doesn't really get most of the stuff that goes on here. The Third District of the city is working on robots and holograms. The big brain people working here are the ones who created the security robots, and they have also come up with designs for battle robots, but none of their new designs can overcome the Gym Leader so they haven't really come to fruition. They are also in the process of creating hologram phones, and have also made progress with hard-light technology.

History

The city was founded when the meteor was discovered. It contained strange energy and spurred scientific discovery in an attempt to understand it.

Points of interest

The Gym Leader guards the gates of the city and patrols the streets through use of the security bots. Any who don't pass his test or have a recommendation are simply not allowed to enter. Once someone is inside, the Gym Leader takes challengers in the battle domes of the First District.
