Northman

The humans who dwell in the lands bordered on the south and southeast by the Sword Mountains, and on the north by the Rimereach. Most populous in and near the city of Neverwinter, the term also applies to the various settlements nominally under Neverwinter's influence. However, many Northmen live largely autonomously of the city-state in far off frontier settlements such as Phandalin.
Not to be confused withe the Uthgaardt, who, to the puzzlement of foreign scholars, actually dwell further north in Faerun than the Northmen.
