Our origin is unclear. Some say we were made in the likeness of Gods. Some say we are eternal, that we have always been. Some tomes describe an arcane sea that swirls throughout the cosmos, a violent explosion that flashed our most distant ancestors into existence. And others, a soft wind drawing us from the void. No matter our source, be it forged in the fires of mountains, or pulled from the foam of the sea, we all share the same primal instincts. Survival, Desire, Curiosity. We find comfort in the thought that we are agents of our own destiny. But are we? Do we have a choice when we rise? Do we have a choice when we fall? Are these instincts pulling us against our will or better judgment, or is a force greater than ourselves calling us to action? You may find that we are more similar than we are different.
