Adventure Log #76: The one with the broken mirror and Rhythgor misty stepped his way to doom.

Adventure Log #76
We left off being trapped in a room with a coffin, some teleporters, and a whole bunch of sleeping soldiers. Zug and Steef tried removing the lid of the coffin, but as they were lifting they felt something inside the lid keeping it down. Zug scooted back so he could try and see what was keeping the lid from coming off safely as Steef held the lid up slightly. Turns out, it was a wire attached to a box. A music box. That would have been a shitshow if it had started playing! Zug cut the wire and they were able to remove the lid safely. They grabbed the loots and started thinking of a way out of this fucking place.
Steef thought we needed to use the rune he traveled to the room to get out. Eek decided to stop sending tots and pears, and him and Sagres used prestidigiation to prestidigitate the little pottery pieces to clear a quiet path to the rune.
I looked around and found another shiplap door! This one led to a stone room. There were wall carvings showing desert sands that swallowed up the people. That's fun. Oh, Medusa was also on one wall. There was a stone necklace with obsidian, and another fucking lit red candle on an iron sconce. Super. Sand was falling from the ceiling. Rhythgor's plan was to Leeroy up in there. Luckily Sagres was able to stop him while he asked his trickster god if it was a good idea to run up in another weird room. It was not.
Eek jumps through the portal and we all follow. That wasn't the best idea as we all turned into creatures. I was a bat! That was pretty cool. Bat! What was not cool was half our friends were trapped in a mirror. How? It was a prison with 12 cells. Rhythgor, Enna, and Zug were all trapped. Enna was in a cell next to a minotaur and a troll. Rhythgor saw a 4-armed gargoyle and a female chultan warrior. Zug had a regular Joe Schmoe chultan and an empty cell near him.
Meanwhile, Eek was a flying snake and started chasing Steef around to have a snack! Typical religious zealot. Fuck. Except, that turned out to be a good thing. Once bitten Steef was Steef again! So, Eek bit Sagres. I decided to take myself out and nosedived to the ground.
In the mirror prison, Zug and Enna were trying different things to get our attention. Zug even tried his magical paint. None of it worked. Steef touches the mirror and then he fucking disappears too! He is surrounded by a stone wall and a chultan woman.
Sagres hits the window, sending a monster out to kill us. I murdered its face. The window was now cracked and Zug was able to shatter it. Yes!
A chultan male called A-Aron (Atan) emerges from the shattered mirror. He does not look okay. Zug and the minotaur named TiMothy (Zaal) also came through. There was also this strange feeling that something else had slipped through, but we didn't see anything. Next through the mirror was Enna, a drow named Tlad Xolbrys and a troll named Yraggath. We attack and kill the minotaur and troll. Enna starts fighting Tlad, but he turns out to be an ally. Oopsie. Well, you can never tell these days!
In the middle of this chaos Rhythgor tries to misty step his way out of this shit but lands in a totally different weird place. Because of fucking course he did. Meanwhile, the mirror continues to spit out more people. We have a human male named Biff Longsteel and the 4-armed gargoyle, who actually got stuck trying to pass through. Bwhahahahaha.
There wasn't enough people in this tiny space so Sagres raises a spector from the dead minotaur. YuanTeam!
I guess the gargolye was able to get through the mirror and a very scared chultan woman emerges. I put down some healing popov to help.
Turns out Rhythgor ends up with Otyugh in the other scary room. They start fighting. Rhythgor wins! Fuck yeah!
Now we have a split party. That's always fun.
