The Bridge that Shava Built

Purpose / Function

The bridge crosses the river that runs between the mountain ranges in the East and West of the Titan Region on the way to Blackchapel. Bridgetown originally existed around a bridge that served this purpose, however, when Bridgetown was collapsed into New Orc Lake, the bridge collapsed with it, creating need for a new bridge to get to Blackchapel and not prevent Blackchapel's access to supplies from Callisto.

Architecture

The Bridge that Shava Built is a large, arched bridge that would not be out of place with a Troll living under it in a fairy tale. The bridge is wide enough to have two carts pass by each other without touching, but there is not much room beyond that. When on foot, the sides of the bridge are waist high. The bridge is made from stones assembled like brick work, and the floor of the bridge is said to be the smoothest road in all of Titan.

History

The Bridge that Shava Built was created to replace Bridgetown's bridge. Bridgetown was not gone for more than seven days before Shava had this bridge constructed as a replacement. It is said that the people of Blackchapel did not notice that they had been temporarily cut off from the Region of Titan due to the fact that their supply chain experienced no more than a hiccup with the new bridge being created so efficiently. It is also said that, in an effort to drum up support for the politician Burr, his Vice-Duke in running had the bridge built and made it public information that Burr was responsible for financing the bridge's construction to increase his popularity. This resulted in a surge of support for Burr in the election, however it was Shava's fellow adventurers that colloquially named the structure, a name that still stands to this day.
