Personal history

Gaelen was an elf who had powerful blood which was full of magic. Gaelen spent a large portion of his life trying to create his own spell to ensure his legacy. He had intended to create a spell that would allow him to harness natural disasters, however he believed he needed blood which was evenly mixed with good and evil. He believed he had this in Junfrum Straya.
Gaelen acted as a Legion agent in Titan, securing enterprises and assisting with smuggling goods. Gaelen was instrumental in the assembly of the obelisks that made magic go haywire within Titan.
When he captured Shava Mourningwhisper, he learned that Junfrum Straya had been destroyed after his death and he could not obtain his blood. Shava also informed Gaelen that the Legion had planned on murdering him once their business concluded. Seeing his back to the wall, Gaelen located the Mind Flayer's Elder Brain and stole a tadpole. He inserted it into himself, believing his powerful blood would make him something more. Gaelen was correct and became an Ulitharid, subservient to none. Gaelen's first act was to enthrall Shava and have her assist him in killing the Mind Flayers and Elder Brain. When that was complete, Gaelen took another tadpole and inserted it into Shava, who became a Illithid. He believed Shava would be his best option to take over Titan.

Motivation

Gaelen wishes to repel the Legion threat so he can close Titan's gates and have an endless food supply.

Wealth & Financial state

Gaelen was wealthy from business ventures before the invasion of the Legion, however, the Legion added more to that wealth when he proved himself to be an agent for the Legion in conquering foreign kingdoms. Now that Gaelen is psionic abilities, he has little use for his wealth.
