Tir Deithr

Dragan Era year 3201

Created by

Tir Deithr, which means "Strange Lands" in Ancient-Gailge, can be divided into three major parts: the hilly and mountainous lands of the Carminian Peninsula in the west; the flat and fertile region of the River-Lands in the east; and finally the Great Arioganian Sea in between. To the North and east Tir Deithr is surrounded by the Tròn- and Dragan Mountain ranges. "These mountains," as the historian Vergalus once poetically worded, "embraces and protects Tir Deithr, like the arms of a loving mother, and causes the land to be humid, warm and productive." Tir Deithr has many rivers (most of these, of course, flow through the River-Lands) of which two are the greatest; the Carmina River, after whom the Carminian Peninsula was named, flows both north and south from it's source in the Cappili Mountains; the Duffrann River is the longest an widest River that flows through the River-Lands. According to Carminian legend, it's source springs from the mouth of a great blue dragon.   Tir Deithr has become a center of conflict in resent years. The Elfr in the River-Lands have experienced a renaissance and dream of rebuilding their lost empire though they are too busy fighting among themselves. The Carminian city states have for the first time in their history all united under the banner of the Carminian League, lead by the newly formed Republic. The Carminians have already made major military and technological breakthroughs and are one of the first species to recognize the significant potential of magical essence on the battlefield, a thing they'd love to further experiment with in the near future. However, not all the Carminian city states enjoy slowly losing their autonomy and some long back to the old days of "independence". All this while east of the Dragan mountains Elfr armies are gathering to form one of the greatest invasion forces to have effer marched into Tir Deithr, lead by none other then the descendant of the legendary Elfr king Arioganix the Conqueror.
