Treehold

"Ah, Treehold-a beautiful city in its own right, this place is a monument to history, the home of King Peter Chase the Dragon-Hearted himself, along with his king-consort, Gabriel Chase the Just. Now, their castle plays host to the esteemed Treehold University, greatest higher education school in the Overworld!" - Treehold City, "Traveller's Guide"

Demographics

As a large and centralised city, Treehold boasts a diverse population of humans, Enders, Testificates, and Piglins, among others. Humans are the majority, but the Ender and Enderborn population is sizeable as well.
A significant portion of the Treehold population is young people under the age of 25, as the city is a college town and home to the esteemed Treehold University.

Government

The city-state is governed by a representative democracy, established since the Treehold Revolution at the beginning of the Redstone Age. There is a president elected every five years, a cabinet appointed by said president, and a legislative body that manages the law system. Referendums on laws to be passed are quite common.

Guilds and Factions

Guilds and factions within Treehold include various trade associations, the local charter of the Explorer's League, political parties, unofficial crime organisations, interest groups for the city government, and more.

History

Treehold is a very old city, having its origins in the medieval age. Originally planned to be a defensive stronghold during the Blight of Bones, it was put in charge of Peter the Dragonhearted Chase upon his coronation.
Until the onset of the Redstone Age, Treehold was ruled by a monarchy rather than a democratic government. That monarchy was, of course, the Chase dynasty, whose exploits are well recorded. The lineage began with Peter the Dragonhearted and Gabriel the Just, and ended with Richard II. It is believed that some people living in Treehold still carry the blue blood of the Chase dynasty, but who exactly they are remains unknown.
