The Emerald Conclave

Founding

Empress Aeryn Sicaria is installed as the sovereign of the fledgling Sicarian Empire, the first functional society in Timberfell, forged in the wake of the Battle of Shrouded Hill.

Society in Timberfell had all but collapsed during the war. The leaders of the settlements of the Emerald Pines assembled a council of trusted and proven minds to oversee the rebuilding in a gathering known as the Emerald Conclave, but the people were accustomed to a singular leader - they wanted a sovereign. The council nominated the war hero Aeryn Sicaria to take the seat. She humbly accepted, and was soon installed as Empress of the realm, reigning from the ancient settlement of Aureum.

Despite Aeryn’s protests, the council unanimously agreed that the realm should be renamed “Sicaria”. With power divided amongst the newly installed Empress and the Council, Sicaria’s leaders cleared their realm of the worst of the corruption and brutality. The leading clans of Brightstone claimed that they had been manipulated and spent many years making amends, but the trust between the kingdoms was slow to heal.
