The River Coromir

The River Coromir is a river running through Southsea, Candlekeep, and Central Everflame. It runs directly through The Great University, and ends in Everflame City. It has a single tributary, the River Kel, which runs to the north of Seasedge and joins up near the border with Candlekeep.
History
Since the time of the Republic of Light, the River Coromir has been central to transportation and trade, providing a route to the ocean from deep inland. While not as critical to food production as the River Lirin, the Coromir has defined much of the historical human settlement in the area. It was once used for fishing, but the industry has now mostly dried up in favour of large-scale shipping.
The river has flooded on rare occasions in the past, though thanks to the spellcasters of Everflame City and the Great University, such an incident has not occurred near a major settlement in over 600 years.
