Sensum Sorra

Causes

Sensum Sorra is a mental health condition whereby the person who is going through it will be in a constant state of helplessness. This has a lot of causes for example by environmental factors such as increased risk of mental traumas, constant negative thinking. Sensum Sorra is also caused by biological factors. This usually happens when having withdrawal symptoms, using too much or barely using your bearer ability will cause Sensum Sorra. As a bearer your body must retain the balance of two aspects, your human self and your elemental skill. You are not one without the other therefore losing your powers or using too much will scramble the very nature of your being leading to upsetting consequences.

Symptoms

• Having constant negative thoughts

• A feeling of utter hopelessness

• May seem very distant

• Insomnia or hypersomnia

• Eating too much or eating too little

• Feeling Lethargic

• In severe cases one may have thoughts in endings ones life.

Treatment

This condition has not been investigated much as far as we know ever since the fall of the bearer community long ago.

Affected Groups

Although Sensum Sorra can have a profound impact on all types of humans, it will have most certainly disastrous effects on the Bearers the most.

Prevention

• Use your element in moderation. Never too much or too little.

• Follow the requirements as best as you can.

• Do not go a day without using your ability. At the very least, use it once each day.

• Do not ever exhaust your powers in one go, you will counter severe withdrawal.

Cultural Reception

The Bearers have been hunted since their defeat in the battle of Akaash, if a regular human would ever to find out about this condition I am extremely sure they will use this as a legitimate weapon. The Lamentari especially have been trying their best to locate the last remaining 3. Sensum Sorra would be considered a gods send in their view and could use this condition to their advantage on getting rid of them.
Since there are only 3 bearers left in this world, Sensum Sorra has had very little attention. Giovanni and Ezra only know very little about it and Ehsaan, none at all. Though the three friends will always fine a way to pick each other up in difficult circumstances, or will try their best to anyway, they are quite supportive of each other thankfully.
