Space element This means that Ezra has the ability to manipulate the air, is able to teleport long distances and also has a crazy amount of speed. Though unlike Giovanni and Ehsaan, Ezra's element cannot be seen.

He dresses very neatly and goes for the smart look. You will normally see Ezra in a blue tunic and some boots much like Giovanni. Ezra's sensitivity to cold temperatures means he will most likely wear a jumper or vest along with it.

Ezra is definitely bright enough to make it to university or at least become an apprentice of some kind but because of his situation no one will allow this to pass. Ezra therefore carried on until high school and was granted the highest grades anyone can possess. It is therefore a great shame that Ezra was not able to continue on with his education unlike so many other Lamentari who had done far worse. Though this lead Ezra to feel education does not necessarily mean schooling, much of his education took place outside the school classroom in fact and later learnt that common knowledge is just, if not more valuable than academic knowledge.
Employment
Ezra worked for the shirin Leila as a waiter. He was in fact the better and more consistently fast waiter than Giovanni ever was, however Asheerah had been more fond of Giovanni than Ezra. This hurt Ezra a lot because he did not see the reason for it. She had been unfair in many aspects in his working life, not only with him but to everyone who had ever worked for her, Giovanni and Ehsaan probably the most. All in all Ezra is glad that unlike these two he had never been her pet dog or was never forced too.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Ezra does not have many achievements because of his sorrowful history, though if he did not go through this there would be no telling how much Ezra would have achieved. Some of his accomplishments include:
Sacrificing his life for Giovanni and Ehsaan. He had never wished for a time like this to come but it did and he was ready to accept every second of it. It is one of the most noble act he had done and was very proud till the very end.
Befriending Veera, he had never expected to do this or never expected for Veera to forgive his prejudgements but she had. He was very glad when he put aside his pride.
Finally being able to open up to Ehsaan, it took a couple of steps but it was well worth it. She had been such a great friend to both him and Giovanni that not befriending her would be an injustice on himself.
Failures & Embarrassments
Ezra does not have many failures and the lack of socialising means that he does not have many embarrassments either, though these are some general ones:
The ignorance in himself to prejudge Veera, despite being a Lamentari she had the heart of an angle.
His lashing out in the forest when Giovanni had revealed he had broken a key requirement.
Extremely embarrassed when displaying his softer, more vulnerable side to Ehsaan.
Mental Trauma
No doubt Ezra has gone through what we would not have gone through in our whole life time. Ezra's childhood is a sad one, sad and heartbreaking. He was witness to not only his parents but his entire village succumbing to pain and torture by the Lamentari, the painful events in fact too awful to explain. Ezra had to run for his life, running into deserts, marshes and lakes to reach the nearest village north of Uzair. It had been Giovanni's village which had welcomed him in. He at the time did not like this, he ached to be with his own family. The loss of his parents lead Ezra to suffer from insomnia and PTSD, he'd constantly sleep outside in their backyard despite there being a perfectly comfortable bed in Giovanni's home. In fact this when his and Giovanni's initial den idea had come in mind. It took some time until Ezra had settled in completely, it was because of the love and compassion that rejuvenated Ezra's heart that he thought of Giovanni's family to be different but to this day Ezra has difficulty making new friends or other relationships. Eventually he learnt to control his anger and his inner resentment but by the time Ezra had suffered his second loss, the loss of Giovanni's parents, it rekindled this behaviour all over again. He cannot fan the flames of his hatred for Lamentari anymore. It was either they die or he dies.
Intellectual Characteristics
Ezra is unmatched when it comes to logic. His brain, it seems does not have a similar thought pattern to ours, he can predict his moves 10 spaces before he makes it but also can adapt to change pretty easily if need be. He just loves the buzzing feeling as his brain begins to tick.
Morality & Philosophy
Ezra's philosophy is a complicated one and writing it down here will do it a great injustice to his logic. Overall mankind must be free to do as one wishes providing they do not harm others whilst doing so. He is a staunch leftist and will love to see a world where equity is a reality.
Taboos
Ezra hates picky eaters, in fact he cannot stand someone who refuses food. He thinks of it as highly rude and disrespectful for a person to reject someone else's home made cooking especially.
Ezra strictly abides by the many requirements which a bearer must follow to strive for mastery. He enraged at Giovanni's seemingly lax attitude to this. He believes that one must be internally grateful but also burdened with the responsibility of a bearer.

Motivation
Ezra longs for revenge against the Lamentari occupation and will not rest until the deed is done. He will fight despite the inevitable defeat he believes he may face. It is a noble cause, noble because it is impossible.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
Ezra has a lot of things going for him. He is bright, not an average sort of bright, but he would be the top 1% in our world if he was in the right circumstances. Without much studying Ezra has a knack for regurgitating facts and figures with little to no cues needs, his memory is exceptional. If he had been a Lamentari there is no telling what would become of him with a brain like his. Not only does he think logically but also thinks creatively, solving problems which no one in the room would not even have thought about.
He is a natural with any sort of direction whether he'd be looking at maps or navigating using verbal information. Ezra has never been lost even if he comes across a particular new street or town. Giovanni is in fact awful at finding his way but Ezra has a great spacial awareness and memorises his footsteps, he does not even need a compass. Likes:Ezra loves sleep more than anything. Although he remains a realist, his life in his dream world are not. He loves to dream, isn't it such fun to dream without a worry in thought? Ezra loves dreaming so much that in the village he had gotten hold of some books about what we call in our world lucid dreaming. He has practiced a few times but it never has worked on him sadly.
Like Giovanni, Ezra loves to build dens, he did grow up with Giovanni after all so it would be natural for these two to like similar things. He loves making dens as it allowed him to escape the troubles in the village. Ezra you see did not get on with many his own age, only Giovanni who had befriended him seemed to understand him properly. The den gave a chance for the boys to have a quiet but fun time to themselves, they'd hang out, talk and play the night away without any disruptions from the village folk until it was time to go back home.
Dislikes: Ezra despises the ignorant most of all. Those who do not wish to learn are horrible creatures. The Lamentari are the top culprit of this, not learning about different races or cultures, they turn a blind eye. It is no good learning about mathematics, or sciences without studying about the real world. The real world involves people, places and cultures and they have no idea of that. Ezra hates that the Lamentari categorise everyone other than themselves as thick and vile when Ezra thinks himself to be the complete opposite. If only they had met him properly, perhaps they'd think differently.

Ezra may come across as aloof in most circumstances if he does not know you very well but at least he will be honest about it. The phrase 'honesty is the best policy' rings true for him, in fact he does not know anything different than tell the truth, whether it would be blunt or meaningful he will tell the truth. Telling lies does not fit with him very nicely, when he was made to lie about his identity Ezra felt the need to always bite his lip for fear of mistakenly spitting out his true identity. He felt especially guilty for Veera.

His bearer ability links to being very free, without space Ezra has bad tempers and is known to be physically violent if he is forced in this situation. Living near the forest and near the desert when he had been young is what he had been used to all his life but when entering Azaad, things were different. When the boat had tipped over Ezra did not even attempt to fight back for he experienced one of his greatest fears, being in water suffocated him.
Ezra is also extremely short tempered and can hold an argument for longer than necessary. Ezra sadly has hayfever, he loves to keep the windows out and will barely enter a room without it being closed. Dusty air makes him sneeze a little more than too often and he hates it.

Ezra is immaculately clean for his age. He goes by a set routine, bathing, doing the dishes, the lot! However there is a weak spot to this young man, he does not feel the need make his bed. He sleeps rather late and wakes up rather late. If one is going to get into the same bed again day after day, why bother?

Relation with Mother & Father(Araan & Miriem : Believe it or not Ezra was a little different when he was a child. Although he had been shy and independant his mother and father took Ezra wherever they went, to shop, to trade or for leisure and this in turn meant they had a very deep and loving relationship. This lead Ezra to come out of his shell as they would introduce and convince him to greet and converse with people in and outside his tribe. Ezra only ever had wonderful memories of them.
Relation with Kamil & Sophia: They had both been kind and soft on Ezra more so than they were to their own son Giovanni and he noticed this a great deal. He knows that they had made major sacrifices for him, having one bearer in the family is enough but three in the same household was unheard of. First off Kamil was shown to be a mentor for him, Ezra had absorbed much of Kamil's knowledge and read his many books on prophecy and what it meant to be a bearer and Kamil had appreciated and took pride in that, he had not been like Giovanni in that sense. Sophia to Ezra was a second mother to him, he often thought Sophia almost as a reincarnate of his mother in many ways, although he knows that this is not possible. She has a soft heart but was also strong willed and brave.

They had been through thick and thing together and he would not of changed any of it if given the chance as for Giovanni had seen his softer side, one that he does not reveal to anyone else besides his closest companions.He was inseparable when he had first been taken in by the Mehir household, he did not understand why Giovanni had been so kind to him and thought he had been doing it for a joke at first. Once a few years had gone by however, he had grew to like Giovanni, so much in fact that he had actually given Giovanni this name for his good-natured compassion towards others. Due to their close bond, Ezra felt a little side-lined and left out when Ehsaan had come into the picture. He was not at all used to making friends but Giovanni was not like Ezra in the way Ezra had wished he had been, this is what he had to learn to accept. Ezra had exploded when Giovanni had given up being a bearer in return for Ehsaan, he should have at least let her know about the consequences they both would have had to face but he was not able to do that. In the end he put aside his differences and had respected for both Ehsaan and Giovanni despite not having the same abilities as him anymore. He was happy for Giovanni and was more than honoured to call him his brother.

For this reason some might say he naturally had the urge to distance himself from her and this was made more apparent when he felt that Ehsaan had been the sole reason why the Lamentari had killed Sophia and Kamil. He held a massive grudge against her and often would go out of his way to belittle or criticise Ehsaan, it did not exactly amuse him but it satisfied his anger at the time. Ezra largely displaced his anger on Ehsaan which he later found it very unfair on her. He knew that Ehsaan had always attempted to befriend him despite his fluctuating moods and this annoyed him as he fought over his own conscience because at the same time he felt very sorry for her. Eventually Ezra and Ehsaan had actually spent more time during their later days at Azaad than Giovanni and Ehsaan and with time. Ezra was able to make amends as they quickly became close friends and was thankful that they had made up just before the rebellion. His sacrifice was for her and Giovanni and will gladly repeat it a million times over if it means that they are safe.

They had killed his parents not once but twice and was horrified that Giovanni had grown a warm feeling towards Veera. She had expressed her love of clothing and other worldly things. Ezra thought of her to be a spoilt ignorant fool who was oblivious to the the troubles they had faced. He had wished that Veera was more like Ehsaan, not being too attached to worldly pleasures and material values but Veera had seem quite the opposite. It wasn't until Veera had started to help Ehsaan in her time of need that Ezra had thought very differently. Veera now had become a kind and compassionate friend who had reminded him of Sophia. He loved the fact that she took interest in his funny sarcastic side, Veera always has a smile or laugh to share if he ever needed one. She is not like the typical Lamentari but in fact a young and courageous noble woman who will always be one of his best friends.
Relation with Asheerah & Heydar: Too bad for Asheerah's whiny personality otherwise her deserts are fabulous. Although he agreed that Ehsaan should not have close ties to Giovanni given their circumstances, he did not feel that it was right for Asheerah to make these decisions and certainly disagreed with her methods of going about it. It was cruel and idiotic on Ezra's view, it had only caused Ehsaan and Giovanni immense pain. Heydar on the other hand was different. Ezra had liked him from the beginning, even initially where he had disagreed with their stay. Ezra saw a lot of Heydar in him, a quiet and distant man but ready to defend himself if need be.
Relation with Feris: A despicable man who is not aware of remorse or human kindness or honour or dignity or self respect. Though his diary had been a decent read.

His family in Uzair, though they have all been killed in a massacre which took place when Ezra had only been seven years old. He was forced to flee alone and he has no knowledge if anyone else had made it out alive.
Religious Views
Ezra wholeheartedly believes in monotheism and does not question belief for a higher power, However, like Giovanni he too has a serious rift between organised religion and the suffering of mankind. Ezra believes organised religion by its very nature creates a division between people groups because of their mishandling or innovation of 'sacred text'. This in Ezra's opinion is questionable, texts are there only there for excuses, excuses which can lead to colonisation, war and bloodshed. Organised religion is only a way to enforce power and dominance over people and there is nothing holy or godly about it.
Social Aptitude
Ezra's personality is a very complicated one, more complicated than most. He has a confidence when conversing in subjects which are known and interesting to him. His high confidence in displaying his knowledge is not one that is necessarily annoying but is more shown similar to that of a mentor figure. Because of this Ezra may seem very aloof but far from it when in good company. He may be quiet but when he has something to say he will most definitely be one of the first to voice his opinions with added reasoning and evidence to support his claims.
Mannerisms
Like Giovanni, Ezra too has learnt the habit of covering his face with his fringes when feeling terribly shy or terribly embarrassed.

Hobbies & Pets
Ezra would never be seen with an animal, he is not fond of creatures except for humans. In fact if he was ever to brush shoulders with a furry friend, his natural instinct would cause him to shiver and leap backwards. Anything that wriggles would make his stomach jitter and fist clench. He believes all animals belong in the wild and that is where they should stay.
One of his favourite hobbies is star gazing, he did this on most nights when living in the village with Giovanni and even in his original home in Uzair. It wasn't until he had to flee to Azaad that this hobby had stopped. It wasn't the same as his favourite stars (Zulfi and Jinan) were no longer visible.

Speech
Ezra has a manly deep voice which many women would swoon for in our world but he unfortunately he does carry a sharp tongue and is quick to swear when angry or the slightest bit annoyed. He is forced to bite his lip whenever Veera is at a hearing distance and she had been on his case the moment Giovanni had introduced her to him.
Wealth & Financial state
Ezra's family had been quite well off in Uzair, they had lived much like bedouins in our world, a family of merchants who would sell their local spices and fragrance to other neighbouring tribes. The Lamentari saw this growing region near their land and quickly sought after it, ransacking, invading their caravans and stealing their goods. Ezra's mother and father had been victims and thus Ezra at the age of 7 had essentially become a penniless orphan in a matter of a day. Ezra had then joined the Mehir family and thus had shared their wealth, though Ezra had made it clear he had always wanted to fend for himself and never should anyone take pity on him. He then found luck, like Giovanni as a waiter for the Shirin Leila. Working for Asheerah's bakery had been a breeze for him compared to life at the village and he would have enjoyed it if it did not disrupt his friendship with Giovanni and Ehsaan.
