Thyra, goddess of Nature

Thyra is the embodiment of Thyr itself; as Xassalt, his sons, and the Elemental Lords worked to create the world of Thyr, the divinity instilled into their labor created Thyra, the divine manifestation of the world of Thyr; she joined the Lords and Ladies of the Elemental Court, since she is essentially the perfect union of them all. Over time, she has become their voice, since she is proficient at getting the other four to agree on things.   She created the multitude of animals, flora, and fauna that populate the world, and gave the sentient species the means and techniques for cultivating the land and creating gardens and farms; as long as they live in harmony with her, Thyra will always provide. She also created the fey creatures, and they act as her guardians and enforcers, protecting her from those who would despoil her, and exacting terrible vengeance on those who have hurt her.   Thyra created the orcs, molding them from her very body, and breathing life into them; the orcs do not have their own name for her, they simply call her the All Mother. The orcs were at one time all gray orcs, however during the Aberrant Crusades, a group of orcs were corrupted by the foul magic of Vessix and his aberrations, creating the blood orcs.   Thyra and Ashtar have had a romance that has stretched over the eons they have been in existence; when Mirith was created, the Sun god and Mother Nature were instantly attracted to one another. Their bond is seen as being unbreakable.   Religion and Dogma: Thyran priests and druids that follow her usually wear rich browns and greens that reflect the verdant nature of their goddess. They are concerned with the preservation of nature and the natural order, and that responsible stewardship is practiced when harvesting the bounty of their goddess. Whether teaching farmers responsible farming techniques, acting as wardens to ensure areas are not over-hunted, or destroying a stripmine, Thyrans approach their duties with dedication and confidence, for they know that they are enforcing the natural order, and there is little that can be done to argue with that. They are in a perpetual holy war with Phexoda and its faithful.   Thyran temples, called groves, can be found wherever nature is in abundance: a copse of trees in the middle of a verdant field, at the bend of a river in a fertile river valley, underneath a waterfall high in the mountains, or in wetlands near the sea. Most farmers keep a small altar to her in their barns or close to their fields, and make offerings on it for a bountiful harvest.   Her holy symbol is a leaf from the mistletoe plant; most times, these are made of wood, but there are some that are etched into silver, which is considered a holy metal by the Thyran faith.   Appearance: Thyra usually appears as a sentient collection of nature taking a human-like form, typically only a face or head. The composition of her face depends on what is available: trees, dirt, flowers, grass, leaves...she will use whatever is available, and the size depends on what sort of impression she is trying to make.
