House of the Creator

Aeon is seen as a neutral force in the universe. Into the Light he poured all his purity and goodness, and in his Shadow is all his evil and wickness. Between these two forces stands Aeon himself, the Creator, the First, the One.

Structure

Clerics of the Creator are called Forged. Each temple of the Creator is called his House. A Forged is in charge of their House absolutely, no outside influence is permitted.

Culture

The House of the Creator is a place of unity, strength, family and creation. Anything beyond these concepts is given little heed or concern. Temples are very ascetic and plain, the Forged wear simple robes except when not ready for battle.

History

The House of the Creator was founded shortly after the launch of the Church of Light. The first Forged were awakened by Raesyr and shown the power of their God. Upon reflection and prayer, they wrote their bible and began searching the world for their brother and sister Reborn.

Military

Every Cleric of the Creator believes that fighting is a necessary part of protecting one's home and family. Thus, they all have weapons and armor, usually of their own making. Many go the next step and become Paladins, also honoring the contributions of Raesyr to their own order by taking his title as their own. Knightly orders have arisen of Forged Paladins, but not as many as the Light, preferring to stay home and protect their flock.

Cosmological Views

Presumably, all things on this plane are a creation from Aeon. That includes the Faewild and the Shadowfell, which are actually alternate realities made by powerful beings.

Tenets of Faith

Remain stoic and tenacious in the face of catastrophe. Uphold and promote loyalty to family, loyalty to clan, and loyalty to your people. Legacy is paramount. To create something that lasts the ages is to change the world for the better.

Ethics

Forged have many rules to govern their lives, but they don't share these much. Furthermore, they encourage anything that encourages growth of the community, the family and craftsmen and creators of all kinds.

Priesthood

Priests are called Forged, but the followers are called the Created. Technically everything is Aeon's creation, but this is the term and everyone understands that minor inconsistency.

Political Influence & Intrigue

The House of the Creator is universally respected, but rarely ever asked for council from people in power. This is likely because they would take a non-committal middle ground on everything.

Sects

Since each Cleric is his/her own church, there are technically no two priests who are the same. Some do gather into a few schools of thought. The biggest divergence is that some believe Forged should have families, while others believe thats for them to encourage and they should sacrifice themselves to better serve the Created.

The House of the Creator leaves the rule making to the Forged of each temple with no ruling body. Forged call each other brother and sister and will meet up and discuss, even argue, religious doctrine, but at the end of the day, each Cleric follows their own beliefs.
