Kalashtar

The Ancestors of the Kalashtar were a group of humans which arrived on the continent of Shemari. these humans had a strong connection to the realm of dreams and an affinity for psionic powers existed within them. So it came, that a group of spirits , the souls of a lost Dreamer-Civilisation, found and possessed the human tribes. while, at first a war between the humans and the ethereal figures started, they soon learned to cooperate and harmonize. the two parties formed an alliance and merged their souls and bodies. With this new alliance the Dreamer-King Kalashtar lead the human tribes to build a new Kalir-conglomerate and spread across a part of the continent. generations after the alliance proved to be useful, as the Kalashtar seemed to be born with two souls, one human and one dreamer-like. For a long time the Kalashtar were the only race knowing of the Dreamers buried underneath Etharis and so some sailed out into the world to find the massive continent and help their brothers reawaken.
