Personal history

Pre-Game A member of The traveling conclave of misanthropes.     Known internally as the Travellers, the conclave was established in a time even before the Gods of Old. They travel across the planes, remaining untraceable by staying in motion. To those that even know of the Travellers, their numbers and nature remain a mystery. Only intervening in local happenings, or speaking with outsiders, where it serves their purposes.   Their numbers never surpass 13 - being a superstitiously unlucky number across all planes.. The number 13 features in a lot of their garb, tattoos, weapons, and spells, they believe this gives them advantage over whomever they quarry with.   Admission to the conclave is highly selective. Only true believers of the negative balance can be considered. These individuals, are beings who have behaved evilly or tyrannical and now wish to use their negativity, anger, and wiles to benefit sentient races. Their belief is that there is much worse in the world and that evil can only be combated with an opposing negative force. This can be seen as hypocrisy, but those who utter the words usually end up dead. They see using their power as a counter to the rising stupidity and frivolous use of the current evils across the planes.   Ultimately they wish the population of the world to just exist, in equality. If they have to use force, they will. If someone uses a spell meant for death to kill evil, does it make the spell or the caster inherently evil? If you were to drain someone’s life for the benefit of someone else does it make the spell negative or positive. Is necromancy evil if you raise an army to free a county of a more oppressive evil, or is it just the caster using the spell that is evil?   All members of the Travellers are mercenaries of varying degrees, just because they wish to do some good in the world doesn’t mean they’re doing it for free. They believe If you’re good at something, you don’t do it for free. Payment might be in currency, favors or enhancements to their strength or powers.     The head of the orders takes on the mantle of Anthrys, named after the order’s founder. A title rather than a name, Anthrys is the only member who can recruit members to the conclave. Those who have been evil, but becomes disillusioned with the life of evil. If selected, you will be branded with the sigil of the conclave just above the waist line, and stabbed once in a strategic position. If the wound heals within 13 days, you the recruit has been successfully initiated. If it doesn’t heal, or the recuit dies, another is recruited. No healing magics or other assistance to heal is allowed.     Anthrys is is a name to be feared and respected by those who know of it. As far as outsiders are aware, Anthrys is immortal. The current Anthrys dictates all rules, regulations and succession within the order, except for the rule of exclusion. The rule of exclusion, is the only conclave wide rule which allows succession within the ranks without need for a decision from Anthrys.     All members of the conclave are assigned a ranking, from 1 to 12:   1 & 2 are the council – while they have no direct authority, they council Anthrys and may each take opposing views. 3 & 8 are known as cleaners – those that can take, and deal, the most pain and injury. 4 & 5 are known as the arms, carrying out targeted assassinations. 6 is tasked with reconnaissance, 7 & 12 act as teachers – improving the skills and talents of the members of the conclave. The final 3 (9, 10 and 11) guard the conclave from direct attack.   The rule of exclusion states that succession may occur within the ranks of the 13 within themselves without need of Anthrys, provided all are in agreement. If the higher ranking member des not agree, then an internal fight tournament is conducted between all 12 members of the conclave. This can be both opportunistic and unfortunate for all members, as this will change the ranking for all involved. I.e. if 1 and 12 are to fight and 1 loses to 12, then 12 becomes 1, 1 becomes 12. All rankings after the tournament are final until the next move of succession.   Anthrys word is law. Succession to Anthrys is the only thing that works on numerical order. Once Anthrys dies, Anthrys lives. There holds a long standing mystical spell held over the group that should one succeed. They will be instantly teleported to the location of the previous Anthrys, no matter what they are doing. This is why the conclave are never unprepared, nor in a state of un-readiness or undress.     This is how the current Anthrys arrived in Thunderia – summoned to the site of the previous Anthrys’ death. The only clue was a name hastily scrawled on a scrap of parchment – The General of the Silver. With his powers weakened, the current Anthrys seeks to kill this General, hoping this will return his powers to what they were previously. He has aligned with FIST as a means to an e
