Long ago, when the Caelian empire ruled this land, a knight by the name of Parian founded the Delian Order, an order dedicated to the preservation honoring of oaths. The order was named in Honor of, and follows the teachings of, the Netherime Gae Delius. There were seven Marshalls of Delius in the ~150 years the Order was active. Under Marshall Parian, there were around 30 knights sworn to the order - some leading entire bands of soldiers. Their numbers dwindled as time went on, and when Marshall Jetain passed, his squire interred his remains in the orders Mausoleum and asked the Tol Maran to bind a Netherime to watch over the tomb. Over time, the town that had grown around the Order's home dwindled until the present day, where you can find nothing remaining but some shaped stones to indicate that a town ever stood there. Membership in the order required the swearing of an Oath: "I swear to fight chaos in all of its forms, to uphold order and oaths, by honor of my word." The journal left in the tomb details many quests undertaken by the order - from leading armies that stopped incursions of lesser races from the mountains, to hunting servants of the Outsiders hiding in cities.
