Vrin Austel

Vrin Austel, renowned poet, author, and failed student of Malunar. Vrin was raised by his parents and they were hopeful that he would study to become an established wizard. It was hard to maintain interest in lessons because of his 2 loves, good books and women. Often getting caught in heated situations with infatuated classmates. He was expelled as his actions disrespected the Columns of Creed which the school operated on. It bothered his parents more than it bother him and the kicked him out of their humble home. Unbothered, Vrin sought out work as a book custodian within one of the multiple libraries within city. He slept in broom closet, and bathed in public fountains, often reciting his favorite authors to passing maidens. At age 18 he began crashing parties and schmoozing popular scholars.
He became infatuated with a talented wizard, Lady Ligram, and he attempted to romance her for months on end. She wasn't too keen of his activities and decided to commission a tome. This tome would contain the strange or known entities that had little information about them. She gave him a large sum of funds and said he would have to travel the world and conduct many interviews. It was a daunting task, but Vrin saw it as test for her affection. He began traveling to find entries for his Book of Cults, Secret Societies, and other Strange Musings.
He traveled all across Thormose collecting stories and first hand accounts about the stranger side of societies. At times even being allowed to witness first hand rituals and ceremonies. Although the work was serious and it was to win the affection of a marvelous lady, he made sure to mingle with the local girls.
