Mortal Life
Calista was the firstborn of Galeven and Marethari, and heir of House Sheridan. She was trained in magic, manners, swordplay, and subterfuge - the skills all proper Alethean ladies should should have. Guided by visions granted by the awakened divinity, Calista travelled to the Exalted. She stood beside them for a time, and fell for the half-blood vampire, Minerva.
After seeing her new love murdered, Calista lost her taste for adventure, and returned to her home. There she entered a politically convenient marriage, and moved up in rank until she held a council seat. Somewhere along the way she realized how unhappy she was with her husband. She took the kids and left, to focus on family and politics.
Her deeds, wit, and skill earned her a seat in Alethea's governance, and allies for her faction. She pushed for greater power for the common folk, and for a more democratic process. Creating a liberal society takes time, but that is something an elf has a lot of. In time, her and her faction changed the structure of Alethean government to allow non-magic users (or those of minor talent) to attain positions of power, rather than reserving it for the magic elites. She eventually settled down and found happiness with Lianna, a fellow elf and proponent of the egalitarian movement.
