Thera

Thera is the magical world parallel to Earth. It's a world filled to the brim with wonders and creatures, some of them living in relatively harmonious societies who abide by different governments who, in turn, abide to a major Council, who seeks to represent all creatures in a representation of friendship. Aside from the scattered societies, Thera is divided by citadels scattered across the land, all of them built with the joint effort of the Council and the local societies: Crossroads, Sanctuary, Forge, Tundra, Arena, Arc and Metropolis, the heart of Thera and the Council's headquarters. As long as it is remembered, Thera suffered from constant attacks from the Gheist, horrendous creatures who sought only destruction. There are warriors who train their whole life's solely towards facing the Gheist, but the main stronghold Thera has against these monstrous creatures are the Mercenaries, free spirits with natural talent who take up jobs across all the land and specialize in the battle against the Gheist. Recently, however, there has been a new threat resurfacing in the form of the Black King, a mysterious sorcerer who had gained many followers and has the unique and disturbing ability to control the Gheist. What seems more alarming is the apparent lack of motivation behind the Black King's machinations.
