Spirit Spells

Some Unicorns can use their powers to create magical shields called force fields, which can protect their friends from harm.

Effect

• You surround a subject (which may be yourself) with a protective field of magical force that absorbs all damage that would otherwise affect its target. 
• During that time, the subject is completely immune to damage, but also cannot move from the spot (the force field is immobile), make melee or ranged attacks, or give or receive any items.

Side/Secondary Effects

• The Narrator sets the difficulty of a test to create larger force fields.
• If a pony wants to break a force field, they will have to test their Body trait with a Difficulty equal to the die value number of the Magic Training talent of the pony that created it.
• Spells and other effects that do not cause direct damage, such as daze, mana drain, or vulnerability hex, still affect the subject normally, and spells pass out of the force field normally.
