Personal history

Aether had always been interested in magic and the arcane. She had studied and tried to practice on her own for years, but no powers came to her. At one point she had even tried to communicate with the gods for, guidance, wisdom, anything that would help her, but no luck. She would have to do this on her own. Frustrated after a long day of studying, Aether had wandered about town to clear her head. Eventually, she had crossed paths with a small black cat, and almost mindlessly starts to follow it into the nearby Neverwinter Wood. She doesn’t follow in too far, and soon lost sight of the cat. Taking in her new surroundings, Aether oddly felt at ease, almost forgetting her frustrations. She kept going back to the Wood whenever she became frustrated, taking care to note every little plant and small creature she came across while in the wood. Eventually, she went to the Neverwinter Wood without a true purpose, she simply felt drawn to it, and slowly began to give up her pursuit of the arcane arts. Almost a year into this new daily routine, Aether had been approached by a panther. The big cat had startled her, but she was not scared as the animal approached. The panther then leads her deeper into the forest than she had been before, eventually coming up to an injured lion. Unsure of what to do, Aether cautiously approaches and begins to try to at least soothe the lion it it’s pain. Her hands trace over the wound at its side after a moment and slowly begin to heal the beast. As it regained its strength and ran off, Aether had realized that she now possesses the power that she so desperately wanted. Guided back to an area she knows by the panther, she excited heads home to now study more about druids.
