The Apple Queens

The Apple Queens were a five-member female indie-rock band that is in Clare Point View under the label Crimson Music Group. Leticia Hernandez formed the band, while the members were still students at the Huffington Arts High.   The Apple Queens were the first place winner, 2009 Clare Point Music Festival: Battle of the Bands, making the group more noticeable around the music scene enough for them then later picked up by a label. The group made the map around their second album, Royals and their hit song, Dark Queen’s Kiss. The Apple Queens were on making their way to the top at a very quick time in their careers.   However, their quick rise brought questions both around the music scene and public. There were rumors of the members: “Sleeping” or “dating” important music figures and industry executives to advance their careers. Reporters constantly brought this up in gossip magazines, local news shows, and internet podcasts. These rumors caused some people to believe the band were not self-made artists or "industry plants", despite being proved many times they were.

Disbandment

The Apple Queens’s downfall wasn’t by the cruel rumors, but a horrid entertainment scandal surrounding their leader, Leticia and mismanagement from their label. The group effectively disbanded after the events of Melodies of Secrets. With some members going into new bands, taking different career tracks, or having solo careers, but that didn’t stop the members from investigating the scandal that brought them down, which tied to their former label’s doing.   After the course of almost two years building up their case, the authorities found Crimson Music Group involved in criminals' activities, including a misuse of the funds from their artists and cases of abuse. As a result, many lawsuits and victims came forward, giving the label negative media attention and shutting down them completely. The Apple Queens were able to clear their names and their leader, with them making a quick comeback only without their rhythm guitarist, Raleigh Lane because of separate related issues regarding her solo contract with Crimson Music Group.
