The World of Four

The world was created by the four gods. They could not agree on one set of rules to govern their societies, so they split up the continent into four smaller continents with magical barriers separating each one to prevent the peoples from influencing each other.   The eldest created a land of science and technology. The second one of alchemical science and potion magic. The third a land of nature and mind magic with fantastical creatures. And the fourth created one of wizardry and witchcraft with another set of wild beasts.   Belief in these gods varies by continent. Most people believe in the one God that created their continent, some people believe in all four, but very few believe that the lands they each created reside in the same world. It is widely 'known' that the four gods split the world into four smaller worlds, one for each to govern as they see fit.   This story will focus on the third continent and its people.
