The World of Ether

Humans don’t belong in Ether, Yet they persist. Clinging to summits and ranges that tower high enough above the dark soup that constitutes Ether’s lower atmosphere, where the air is hot, dark, and crushing.   One of such outcroppings is known as Bunker & Hill, a mostly vertical settlement built upon mining a valuable fuel known as Ignis which is used to fuel many of Ether’s rapidly advancing technology. B&H is a part of a loose coalition of Gemma Inanis, which stands for nothing more than high profits and opposition to Prima, The regional superpower and Authoritarian ruler of… Prima, the largest habitable piece of land in the immediate area, which the smaller mounts are all scared of.   B&H, being one of the smallest member states of this conflict, is a great patron of… fringe R&D as a way to increase its power relative to its size. But things have taken a turn for the worse recently. Disappearances and rumors echo through the streets of Bunker. Of a great ship beneath the fog, armor-clad troopers of an unknown force stalking the night, and of low tremors in the Ignis mines....
