The World of Aeos - The Joran Frontier

Aeos is an ancient world of magic and power.   Made by the Creator, Aeos is a large oceanic world upon which the races of Aeos now struggle for survival. The remnants of a vast ancient civilization are everywhere, the fate of which has been lost to time and memory. Forgotten horrors and unspeakable riches await those brave enough to seek fortune, glory, and honor.   The once-mighty Norian Empire can no longer support itself. The 700-year-old island empire has slipped into ruin and decay, despite the efforts of the current monarchy. Constant warfare and failing colonialism are beginning to shatter the already fragile relations with the smaller island Kingdoms.   To make matters worse, a devastating plague, known as the Blight, has killed ninety percent of the human population over the last twelve months. Each of the passing Deathstorm causes more sickness and deaths. Knowledge of the Aether, Alchemy, Tradecraft, Gearworks and other areas of enlightened study are quickly being forgotten along with the loss of life.   An ancient enemy lurks in the shadows, waiting for the time to strike at the unsuspecting peoples of Aeos and claim the world for their own once again...
