Orcs

The Waste is the homeland of orckind, and the race's birthplace. However, the race has spread significantly less than others, due to their unique geographic origin, so "orcs", and "residents of Anth'Tkur"(the largest and more or less only orcish city of note) are more or less synonymous. Before the introduction of the Rails to the Waste, orcs were only capable of flying via magic or flying Barh'Aht mount, both of which were reserved for the Lahi'Gaur, who rule Anth'Tkur and the majority of orcish society. In more recent times, the orcish population has spread greatly, but still remains mostly concentrated in that one city.

Basic Information

Biological Traits

Orcs don't stop growing, though they do so slowly after maturation. Upon reaching adulthood they tend to have the build of a heavily muscled human, but with age they grow larger and larger, their bodies tending to stoop under their weight, giving them a more hulking, bestial appearance. Unfortunately, most orcs who reach old age tend to die as a result of complications arising from this gigantism, and there is evidence to suggest that they could go on living much longer if not for this bizarre biological defect.

Additional Information

Facial characteristics

Orcs tend to have broad features, with large mouths and large tusks. Most orcs have skin tones ranging from bluish-green to grey. With age, their jaws protrude more as their tusks grow.
