High Tower Observatory

The High Tower Observatory is found upon the highest peak within the Wild Havens. The observatory is used by researchers from all over the world in order to study the sky and to perform experiments on the local wild magics.

Purpose / Function

Originally built to be a research centre and observatory stationed outside Towt'mau's city limits to allow more unstable experiments to be performed. The scope of experiments and research slowly expanded until the Observatory became a general research centre that researchers from all over the Wild Havens flock to for the high quality equipment and services.

Alterations

Originally built as just a simple telescope and attached research centre where the study of the sky and natural magics were studied. The interest of the research being conducted created the need for expansion, which was conducted in 1310 NGE, expanding the research centre and adding long term living areas to allow travelling researchers to stay instead of having to make the trek from Towt'mau everyday.

Architecture

Unlike the architecture of Towt'mau, the High Tower Observatory is tall and spread out. With a large tower sitting on the edge of the peak containing research material and long term living, is topped with a light specifically designed to ensure it will not effect the working of the telescope. This light can be seen from far away and is used as a landmark. The tower is surrounded by a large buildings containing the research labs. The main observatory is found a ways away.
