Castletide

The largest city within the Wild Havens. If all roads lead to Rome, then in the Havens all roads lead to Castletide. Home to the largest sky port on the islands, that all imports and exports leaving the island have to go through, in Castletide trade is the name of the game. Filled with markets and stores, and feed by an ever growing population migrating to the Wild Havens, the city is growing with no visible end to this prosperity in sight.

Demographics

As the central hub of travel and trade, Castletide has the largest variation of demographics within its walls at any one time. Most people who come to the city stay only temporarily, with most permanent residents being the original settlers or descendants of them.

Government

Unlike other towns and settlements within the Wild Havens, Castletide is considered a colony of ---. As such it is still required to follow and enforce their laws, which has caused a few problems in the city and surrounding areas.

Defences

The entirety of Castletide is surrounded by a large wall with three gates that are under constant guard. A toll or a gatepass is needed to get through any gate.

History

Castletide was established as a small outpost in order to facilitate the exploration of the Wild Havens. As more land was explored and valuable discoveries were made, Castletide went from a small out post to a large frontier town and only grew from there.

Geography

Built right on the edge of a sky island in order to allow the construction of sky ports, the walls of Castletide open up to flat plains that gave room for it own expansion.
