Deck of Sgain
The Wheel is ever turning, and the cards are ever changing.
Used in gaming and fortune telling alike, the deck is a common fixture with taverns, temples, and street corner charlatans. Different games may be favored by the highborn and the low, and a vast array of styles may be employed in the divining of fates. However, the makeup of the deck is surprisingly consistent for something used for such wildly different purposes and reputedly so ancient in origin.
In games that follow the list in a linear fashion, the Knave often trumps the Regent to "complete the wheel"
In other games, the cards within a suit are grouped into tiers (represented above by the separations in the list) that put each card within a grouping on equal footing.
Balance (usually represented by a Hippogryph facing to the left)
Restraint (usually represented by a Hippogryph facing to the right)
Mother Dark (usually represented by a dark crescent)
Father Light (usually represented by a fire)
