The West Marches

Far to the west of the great cities and rich lands of the Four Heavenly Courts, on the border of Civilization lay a vast wild land, full of strange creatures, twisted magics, and ancient mystery. You are an adventurer, not content to live a rigid life regulated under the Heavenly Mandate you have cast off the role fate had in store for you and stuck out for the lands beyond Civilization. You have embarked to live a life of struggle and discovery where confronting danger will reward you with riches beyond measure or a swift death.   Based on Celtic and Norse myth, Russian fairy tales, and inspired by the work of Stephen Lumpkin and Adam Keobel the West Marches is a world shaped by the odd, the magical and the fey, where novice heroes struggle to make their way.
