Rail Gun

The largest weapons in space combat a rail gun is a turret or more often spinal-mounted weapon that firesone-kilogram tungsten slugs equiped with a depleted uranium core for added density. The round is sufficiently large that a direct shot is able to puncture a ship stem to stern. The weapons do however have significant risk and are spinally mounted to prevent tearing the entire ship apart with launch. This means that unless turret-mounted the railgun can only fire at targets directly infront of, or behind if rear facing, the ship.
