Zombification

Zombification is a common state of undeath, where the afflicted's decaying corpse is woken, without the soul or mind of the original owner, and often put under the control of another being. Those afflicted by zombification are called zombies.

Symptoms

Those afflicted with zombification are reduced to mindless husks, filled only with hunger for the flesh of the living, and willingness to follow their master's commands. Zombies slowly decay, but even as their vital functions rot away, continue to move. Zombies feel no pain, but are fragile beings, easily reduced to the shambles they would be without the vile force of Zombification keeping them "alive".

Treatment

The Fountain of Youth could reverse the effects of Zombification, restoring the body and returning it to the original owner.
