Poltergeist
Poltergeists are unruly ghosts of the deceased, fond of moving around furniture.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Poltergeists are ethereal beings of as much humanoid shape, as they are of serpentoid shape. Poltergeists can shift in size, from the size of a human head to the size of a large room. Poltergeists can also squeeze together, fully passing through as small openings as a key hole, though their total volume is always within the previously defined bounds. As a symbol for their being bound to the physical realm of the living, all poltergeists wear shoes.
Genetics and Reproduction
Poltergeists are formed sometimes upon the death of an intelligent humanoid, such as a human. Some poltergeists are also formed by the collective spirits of multiple vindictive dead.
Ecology and Habitats
Poltergeists inhabit houses that other creatures often call their own, or the area around the burial grounds of the poltergeist's spiritual origin.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Poltergeists do not need to eat.
