Babbling Book
Babbling books are animated books used by wizards and other spellcasters.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Babbling books are shaped like books of varying sizes and thickness. They have two spherical eye-balls resting on one side of the cover, which opens up to resemble a mouth. In their "mouth" they have a "tongue" made of paper sticking out. On the tongue something is written. Babbling books are made out of normal book materials. Whatever their eye-balls are formed of, is unknown.
Genetics and Reproduction
Babbling books are presumably not ordinary biological beings that breed, but are animated by an influx of magic, either on purpose or by accident.
Ecology and Habitats
Babbling books prefer to live in libraries or other places with an abundance of books.
Additional Information
Domestication
Babbling books are often kept as familiars by spell-casters.
Uses, Products & Exploitation
Babbling books are popular among spell-casters, being used as familiars to increase the latter's spell-casting abilities. However, as babbling books have the same effect on all surrounding magicians, and not only their masters, babbling books are favored especially by magicians wishing to combat non-spell-casters.

Babbling books are found in the libraries of The School of Mages on The Magical Mountain.
