Tamara

Tamara is one of the most unique goddesses among the Draconic Pantheon, her origins woven into the fabric of time and space itself, under a constant battle of law and freedom. Born of Bahamut the metallic father, Prodar the gold dragon and Oroth the silver dragon had two separate outlooks on life. Prodar, believes that good can only prevail under law and order, and Oroth, that freedom is the ultimate catalyst of good. Prodar would go on to establish Draconic law that all dragonkin would share and follow. This law was known as The Commandments of Prodar. There were three commandments in total: 1. One must revere their godly ancestors 2. Prodar rules over dragonkin law 3. One must uphold traditions and rules in their respective society.   Oroth disagreed. "Who are we to call ourselves gods? Who are we to be the example to our kin of perfect vessels? We are no gods. You, are no god."   “I have watched the death of a thousand suns, who are you to claim that I have no right to rule..? I will sweep your presence from the fabric of time, no one will remember your name or deeds, no one will sing of your valor.. only empty death waits for you, come.. meet your doom.”   After then, war raged on for millennia. Countless Dragonborn were birthed for the sole purpose of bloodshed. These "gods" sacrificed their children for the sake of ideology. Bahamut wept for them. There was nothing he could do, his children were too damn stubborn for their own good. "What have I done? What should I do?" he asked, looking up in the direction of Io's godly heavens.   "There is nothing for you to do, dear boy."   In one swift motion, Io flapped his ethereal wings, sending wind from the heavens upon the Unbound Rift. The fighting had stopped. The dragonkin could only focus on surviving. Io pulled the souls from his grandchildren and swirled them together, combined them, their ideals, and their wills, birthing Tamara. "I- I'm sorry brother". These were the first words ever uttered by Tamara. Tamara believes in a perfect combination of law and freedom and is ever merciful. Those who wish to follow Tamara must let go of all their grievances towards themselves and others and must be willing to forgive everyone, including creatures of pure evil. -Resmend, The Ethereal Scholar

Divine Domains

Tamara is the god of peace, freedom, and order. When people experience quarrels in their lives, they pray to Tamara to help them resolve the issue. When war rages across the land, they pray to Tamara for an end. She grants what people deserve to those worthy of her holy grace.

Holy Books & Codes

The Codex Of Divinity was written by an order dedicated to Tamara and her ideals. Throughout its pages, it tells various stories of the lives of the sainted, parables concerning the treatment of others, and many songs and verses uplifting the power of solidarity, community, and loyalty. Her faithful often swear off any worldly possessions and give all that they might have or gain over to those less fortunate. Other devotees act in the role of community leaders and help to foster greater bonds within their towns and cities. One of the most sacred codes in The Codex Of Divinity is referred to as the Golden Rule, "Treat your neighbor how you would like to be treated". To the Tamaran faithful, this is a tenet above all others. Kindness begets kindness just as much as violence begets violence.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The symbol of Tamara is that of a flowing waterfall, representing the freedom and chaos that comes from the fall, and the order demonstrated in the calm water at the bottom, mixing together forever. Many holy temples of Tamara will be built on a waterfall, and they will bless the water.

Tenets of Faith

Tenets of the Tamaran faith care about how the faithful are to treat others. Within The Codex of Divinity, several metaphors, stories, and parables point towards the common treatment of all life, and that all life is sacred. To Tamara, the rich and the poor are the same and there is always the chance for redemption. Forgiveness is a large part of the faith and devotees are urged to love your enemy as your friend.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yR2ElHDhPVo&list=PLS7iSooUZ5nKde5keek4MP8z8xoM_1Xs3&index=21&t=65s
