Atora

Atora is a continent located to the west of the Ghara Plateau. Though both Atora and the continent Khuara are located on the same landmass, Atokuar, the two are recognized as separate because of their vast size and cultural diversity. In the west, Ator is separated from Khuara by the shifting sea.
Geography Atora has a varied landscape, given that it stretches from near the equator to the north pole. The most notable land features are the Ghara platau and the northern ice sheets, that take up a large part of the landmass. Most northern coastal areas consist of canyons, carved out by the tides, while beaches become more prevalent further south, in areas that are less affected by the tide. The main type of flora that cover Ator is mixed forest, and most land areas have very favorable conditions for plant growth. Northern forests consists mostly of coniferous forests, with deciduous trees being dominant in the south.
Ethnicity and culture The primary population group in Atora consists of humans, with only some dwarven and very few elven minorities. The main population centers in Atora are located in the temperate zone, where agricultural societies thrive and resources are easily accessible. The continents large coastline to land ratio makes way for much naval commerce, originating mostly from these areas. The population density dwindles further north, where the harsher climate and shifting tides makes hunting and gathering more prevalent.
