Weapon of choice: a double edge knife about 13 inches in length and 1 1/2 inches wide. it was forged using adamantine, mithral, and Rowa, creating a similar pattern as his tiger stripes. the use of Rowa during the forging enabled the blade to stay sharp, strong, and also to store extra energy with in the blade for later use. he also has a two foot long short sword that was forged at the same time and of the same metals, and methods.
Rin was born on the Black Jade Coast of Motu Tuatahi. his father was the head of the Deep Waters martial school and his mother was the strongest healer born in the last 500 years. Rin spent the first two hundered years of his life learning all he could from his parents and then expanding on that knowledge. when he was 250 years old he was asked to teach both martial and healing arts at the Verndari Acadamy. There he unexpectedly made friends with two of his students, finding a love for learning, dedication, and mischief, in these kindred spirits that he shared. after much thought, he decided to take the Verndari oath and bond his soul to theirs, setting off to find more knowledge and adventure.
Notable fact: when Rin was just a baby, his parents took him to the oracles, to get his destiny foretold. the oracles after an unusual amount of time said that he had a twined destiny. that he could become the greatest healer the three plains has ever known but that he would die soon after, or he could tie his fate to another and live, but that they could not Speak of the destinies after that. There were too many branches, and saying more could lead him down the wrong path and to the chaos.
