The Thousand Worlds

Created by

The Thousand Worlds sits on the edge of the known universe, and was the last region explored and fought over before the fall of the Ramoxian Commonwealth. In this area, the savage races began evolving more rapidly, and quickly presented a major problem to the Kraagan forces. As the warfare in the region escalated, the Ramoxians actually called for the various races of the Thousand Worlds to be recognized by the Commonwealth as evolved species, but the Kraagans blocked that motion. But as the more primitive savage races gave way to the modern Mortal Races, they began appropriating Kraagan and Ramoxian weapons and technology.   By the time Enod Torkay’s insurrection broke out, space travel was commonplace in the Thousand Worlds. At this point, the Kraagan forces were spread out throughout the region, and many ships were being recalled to the home system. As the prospect of actually driving the Kraagans out of the Thousand Worlds seemed possible, an alliance was formed under Mora Teresh, who became the first Empress of the Thousand Worlds. The planets united under one central government, consolidated their military forces, and became one of the most powerful alliances in the known universe.   After the fall of the Ramoxian Commonwealth, the Kraagan forces withdrew completely from the Thousand Worlds to battle the newborn Sirithian Empire. The Thousand Worlds soon faced a new challenge, however, as a group of five Elementals known as the Five Kings arrived in the universe. They brought unprecedented chaos and destruction to the Thousand Worlds, but were eventually defeated when Empress Mora III formed the Imperial Legion, who were able to imprison the Kings in the Dead Man’s Nebula.   With the Kraagans gone and the Kings defeated, the Thousand Worlds entered an era of relative peace and prosperity, which they enjoyed for thousands of years.
