Dwarves

Ionan Dwarves are born as drones, young dwarves serve some alien purpose deep in the bowels of the world, before eventually joining the eternal war against the Great Wyrms of Brillund. These stoic drones do little more than forage for rocks and fight, but a rare few of them eventually become independent for reasons unknown to the outside world. These dwarves maintain a secretive society in parallel with their drone siblings, creating magnificent works of art and skill for trade, and guarding their hive from outside discovery.
