The Tower of Valo

Graycastle, the Tower of Valo sits atop a hill and can be seen from miles around. It is a beacon of peace to the land of Forleah. The people refer to it as the Glowing Spire due to its brilliant white stone work that reflects the sunlight. The tower is home to the the sitting High Magus of Valo. The interior is spacious as it is meant to house the numerous Valo initiates. Sadly, the halls of Graycastle are mostly empty now. The tower has stood for over 1000 years seemingly untouched by time. There are rumors of magical protections guarding the tower from both seen and unseen dangers. While the Magus is very powerful, she has historically acted as an observer of the realms from her perch. The most followed decree from the Magus is the Pact of Empty Hands. All people adhere to this Pact which states all grudges are set aside when in sight of the tower. This allows the tower to act as neutral ground for the three main races of Forleah to hold negotiations and gatherings. Many attribute this decree for the fragile peace between nations.
