With no chance at an element of surprise, the party launches into combatant immediately upon entering the clearing.

Summoning the will of the ocean Goddess, Slab calls a _Lightning Bolt_ against one of the Clawed Horrors and the elven Champion. Enraged by their continued survival, the champion makes four attacks, each at a different member of the party. 
Things & Stuff

Despite their best efforts, neither Ghozun or Slab are able to land an attack. Shortly after their attempts, the champion becomes visible once more, attempting to launch an assault on Emyr with a series of attacks.

With dual critical shots, Emyr blinds and fatally wounds the champion, who erupts into blood-curdling screams. As he is dragged away by a spontaneously forming mass of tentacles, he begs for his life, though his cries are in vain as he is torn away from the Feywilds to an unknown location, making it impossible to confirm his death, as Duul notes. With him removed from the fight, Emyr puts his focus on attacking the Clawed Horrors and turning them on each other.
