The Court of Eight
The Court of Eight are the predominant pantheon worshiped in the Summerlands. The eight gods represent various facets of nature and the delicate balance between them. Some adherents followed all eight equally, while others focus their attention on specific gods that are most relevant to their lives and work. The gods are typically worshiped in sub-temples dedicated to a single element.
The days of the week in the Shairin Calendar are named for the gods of the Court of Eight.

Worship
An observant follower of the Court of Eight might strive to attend daily services at sunrise and sunset, substituting individual prayer when their travels take them away from convenient temples. Traditionally, the gods are referred to by their epithets rather than their names (ex. "He of Storms"rather than "Bora"), and these are invoked casually and constantly.
