Sidetech Worlds

A Sidetech World is a classification of Colonized Planet based upon the technological path it has taken. Any planet that has significantly deviated from standard human technology recieves this classification. These deviations include but are not limited to: Reliance on physical armor instead of Energy Shields, Main weaponry of planetary forces being something other than ballistic weaponry (Laser, Plasma, Swords, Bows, etc.), genetic modification. Most Sidetech worlds are created due to a malfunction of the planets Colony Ship such as: Destruction of interplanetary communication devices, Destruction/Corruption of technological blueprints onboard, and Unexpected factors unique to the planet forcing a radical technological change to survive.
