Gyða Hrafnsdottir
Striðsvölva Gyða Hrafnsdottir (a.k.a. Cairnwrought)
The witch Gyða lived a life without purpose, and died an ignoble death without ceremony. She was fated for Hel, not Ysgard; buried in a cairn, not burned. Her thread however was perverted. Her remains risen from her cairn by a Necromancer as their champion. A second chance she was not supposed to have, and one where she won glory enough that when she received her second death, she awoke in the fields of Valhalla.
It was a cursed awakening, however. As her victory was won in undeath and not in life; she entered Ysgard in undeath. Every morning she awakens again, trapped once more in her undead body. Without ever feeling the respite of true rest. True sleep, or true death.
She has sat among this host for many long years, where she has been laden with epithets; Cairnwrought. Twice-Burned. Threadbreaker. And always keenly aware of her station.
