Emperor Karlomann attacked the western regions of the former empire.

The western regions of the former Faland empire were mainly hills and mountains. These mountains were full of mines so Karlomann went to war in order to gain more weapons production ability and wealth. This war ended with the New Faland empire taking over the western hills, though the mountains drove them off.
