Anatomy
Their physiology internally is very similar to that of a human. Their bones are flexible to a degree and they have numerous tentacles protruding from their upper body and face.
Covered in a thick coating of mucus, this species can survive for a few days out of the water before drying up.
They can breathe both on land and in water due to their complex respiratory system, and are also immune to most toxins.
Genetics and Reproduction
Umi no Otoko Are mammals and produce live young in groups of 3-8 generally.
Ecology and Habitats
The deep sea at roughly 23,000 feet, tending to live in cave networks dig into the surrounding stone.
Masonry, animal taming and moss cultivation are the Umi no Otoko‘s most common professions.
Their cave entrances tend to be narrow and defended with imprisoned poisonous creatures in order to prevent predators gaining access.

Umi no Otoko Are omnivores and exist on a diet of moss and fish.
They hunt using spears and nets. Their food is stored deep within their cave system, usually in an area dedicated to food storage.

Rarely Umi no Otoko males have been able to impregnate the females of other humanoid races.
Due to the females complex organ structure, only their males have ever managed to achieve pregnancy.
