Of all the Orders, the Fire Lance is the most militaristic. They have a hierarchy and rank structure. They are also the most skilled and trained Knights of the Solar Winds in piloting the Starfighter, and not just the Starlancer. Able to quickly adapt and "get the feel" of any fighter craft, a Fire Lance Knight can threaten any fleet with any fighter. They are very disciplined and have an almost spiritual connection to their Starlancer class starfighter. They "listen" to it, learn its name, and master its every aspect.

To a Fire Lance Knight, their Starlancer is a part of them, and extension of who they are. They consider it a living thing, a symbiosis. They love to drink and tell stories around the Banquet Table like any other knight, but they are deadly serious and hyper-focused when they are in their Starlancer. As masters of the Starlancer, they have developed the technique of harnessing the L.A.N.C.E. weapon energy and instead of discharging it, they can erect a destructive energy field around their Starlancer allowing it to ram enemy ships, causing it to become a "wrecking ball" capable of punching holes in shields and armor of Capital Ships - if the enemy lets them get close enough.

They tend to come off condescending to other fighter pilots, not on purpose, they are just have such a serious attitude about piloting that they give constructive criticism whether it's wanted or not, not matter how experienced the other pilot is. They tend to treat other warriors with a small sense of camaraderie, more so to pilots and other Solar Knights, but their greatest respect is reserved for fellow Fire Lance Knights, who they see as their brothers.
