Morrigan-class

The Morrigan-class is a patrol destroyer employed by the Martian Congressional Republic Navy, designed to be a low-cost combination of a patrol torpedo boat and a destroyer meant to be mass-produced and deployed on security assignments. The most mass-produced Martian Navy ship in the system, The Morrigan-class was introduced in the MCRN during a fleet-wide modernization program, bringing what were outdated ship designs up to snuff and future-proofing them. This resulted in the creation of the Donnager-class battleship, Corvette-class frigate, and Morrigan-class destroyer.
At 33.5 meters long, the Morrigan-class is faster and sleeker than most ships while large enough to have a significant weapons suite. This is the go-to ship of the MCRN fleet—and even these mass-produced ships are more technologically advanced than most UNN vessels. They’re quite compact and two can hang in the hangar bays of Donnager-class Battleships via inverted ceiling clamps instead of one corvette-class frigate occupies. Like most MCRN designs, the Morrigan-class is future-proofed and is easily modified, with several non-standard units outfitted with stealth capabilities.
While the Morrigan-class is equipped with an aggressive weapons suite, it lacks a ventral Point Defense Cannon, which creates a hole in its defense grid. It makes up for this lack of defense by being one of the leanest and most maneuverable warships due to its size and often travels in large numbers, as fleets of this ship will cover one another’s open sides. At only 9 meters in width, it’s one of the sleekest ships the MCRN deploys that sports only a single Epstein drive.
