The Shards

862, 21ST DAY OF KOMAJI'S SECOND TURN

Created by

OOOOO, another fellow human has wandered into my little shop of DISCOVERIES! Judging by your clothes, you must be from the FIRST ERA! Please forgive me, I just get over filled with joy when a new sponge is ready to soak up all of the knowledge I have discovered. I am Dr. Inisio, and I study this world for the folks that have awoken from a deep slumber like you and me.   Well, I say world, but this is really six smaller worlds that have joined together like a small solar system with out the sun. I believe that this is because that the guardians have eaten the sun and ha- oh, look at me go on about with these crazy theories about the Shards when I haven't even given you my guide. Oh goodness me, did I even mention the name the inhabitants of this world/worlds came up with for the ground that they walk on? Well it is called... THE SHARDS. Has a nice ring to it if you ask me.   Each Shard has its own name, culture, flora, fauna, etc. Truly fascinating, isn't it. The city filled Istirion, where we are right now, the wild Shard known as Gaela, the rough desert of Oplijan, the magical cliffs we call Sorvuk, the freezing cold Everest, and the Forsaken Vale.   To keep track of these continents/worlds/islands/whatever I have constructed a guide that I am now offering to you. How much for the guide? Well it is completely free for you my jolly old chum. Besides, whatever money you have in your pockets is useless here. We use silver here, and there are plenty of ways to get a job in these dangerous lands.   Oh yes, another reason to accept my offer is to be in the know about what to look out for. Terrifying creatures are common in the Shards. Istirion is at war with a legion of Golden soldiers that might as well have grown overnight, Gaela is crawling with savage beasts, and don't even get me started on those vile demons from the Vale and th- oh look at me ramble on again. You should find many things you need to know in this guide, and more discoveries about the flora, fauna, cities, historic figures, people that I think have a good shot at becoming a historic figure, etc. are made every week, so make sure to check in for a few updates every once in a while. Of course, you absolutely MUST tell me about any discoveries that I may have missed. I can't be everywhere at once you know, and I've tried to be everywhere at once.   Off you go now, you have a world to explore.
